Marine Ecosystems Awareness Diver

Course Information: 

This course is a must for divers that have a vested interest in protecting the marine environment and want to learn more about the ecosystems and marine organisms.  This specialty is designed to increase the open water diver’s understanding of marine and freshwater environments, the problems facing these unique ecosystems, and the role that diver’s play in protecting our marine resources.

Course Prerequisites:

• SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver, or equivalent
• Minimum age 18, 10 with parental consent

What is not included: 

• Tips: (Boat crew, Instructor, Dive Master, Fish or Lobster Cleaning)
• Personal Gear: Scuba Quality Mask, Fins, Snorkel, Boots, Surface Marker Buoy (SMB)
• Gear: (BCD, Regulator Set, Wetsuit, Weights ) is not included however is available if needed at an additional cost. We are happy to accommodate your rental needs.
• Transportation to Training Locations or Dive Sites
